Sneaking a cat into an apartment?

I'm moving in a huge commercial building, on the 12th floor. I am fostering four kittens right now in my dorm room where they aren't allowed. I love these kittens. I want to keep one of them and I've already signed the lease agreement. The apartment is no-pets. I want to sneak one in. I know it's not allowed, etc. I want to know if people have done it and gotten away with it? This building is huge, I think 14 floors. I think if we have maintenance coming we can hide it in a closet or bedroom for the hour they're there. what are the other risks? Bringing in cat food and litter, bringing the cat to the vet? I think I can handle that--big grocery bags, pet carrier in a cardboard box early in the morning, etc.

Yes people do it and get away with it - but many also get caught. Have you thought about what you'll do with the cat when/if you get caught with it and your landlord demands you get rid of it? The landlord has the right to enter your apartment with no notice if there is a problem, and if you're not home they'll find the cat, and out he'll go. You really ought to forgo owning a pet until you can live somewhere where they are allowed. Sorry, but I see too many cats who're dumped in shelters because of people moving to a no-pets building, or getting caught with one in a no-pets building.

Can clipper attachment combs replace blade sizes #3 to #8 or able to achieve similar effects?

I am new to pet grooming and was confuse between attachment comb and blade sizes. Is a #6(1/4) attachment comb fitted on a #40 blade the same as blade size #5 since both will achieve the same length? Please advice. Thanks.

the rule of thumb is the higher the blade number the shorter the cut so if your going to shave a dog then just use the 5F blade when using the comb attachment you have to do more hand scissoring.. I will use a 10 15 30 or a 40 under the comb attachment depending how short I want a dog to be..Sat I did a terrier poo they did not want him buzzed so I use a 10 under a 1/2 comb attachment he looked so cute.. because he has poodle hair..

What are the best professional dog grooming clippers?

I am looking to buy a real pair of clippers for doing my dogs and to possibly get into professional grooming as well.
Experienced groomers, what are the best kind of clippers and any other tools (scissors, thinning shears, brushes, etc ) do you use and recommend on a daily basis.
I have bought some from Petsmart for like 60 bucks and then after 5-6 haircuts they are junk! Also they heat up and make lines in the dog's coat.
Advice is appreciated!

Osters, Wahls and Andis are the best brands out there. A variety of blades of different lengths. A good pair of 8 1/2" straight shears, a pair of fine thinning shears, and possibly a pair of curved shears are good for a beginning groomer. A variety of slicker brushes, rakes, combs of different sizes, Mar coat king, furminator, and a good quality pair of nail trimmers can make up the rest of your kit. The thing that you need most is the knowledge of using this equipment in an efficient and humane manner.

Scissors and clippers are used to remove hair on certain types of coats or in sensitive areas. Depending on the breed of your dog will determine the type of treatment it will get. If your dog is a non-shedding dog, they will have to go through a process called stripping. This sounds more painful than it really is, where the dead hair of the dog is pulled off to make room for new hair to grow.

Bathing your dog is usually done with a garden hose, hand-held shower head or a bucket of water. These methods all depend on the location or type of salon you are taking your dog to. There are many types of shampoos and conditioners that can be used to clean your dog and also depend on the salon that you take your dog to. It is important to note that bathing your dog too much will strip the hair coat of natural oils and cause it to dry out. If you are maintaining your dogs coat yourself, be sure to take a note of this as it is very important.

Lastly, nail trimming is also an important part of dog grooming. If a dog's nails are left to grow, they might begin to curl over and under the dog's paws, making it extremely hard to walk and can be very painful. If dog's do not get their nails trimmed on a regular basis, the quick will grow along with the nail and make it nearly impossible to cut properly. You can do this process yourself, but it is not recommended because if you go too far you may cause bleeding so it is better to take your pet to a professional groomer.

Furminator question, grooming the cat and dog!?

I have a yellow lab and 4 cats. I got the medium furminator and Ive since used it on everyone. Its been 3 days and the cats are shedding and so is the dog. How often do I use the furminator and for how long each pet? They all love it!

I would do it it at least every other day (every day for long-haired breeds), and do it until you stop getting an appreciable amount of hair in the brush.

I have one and like it very much
Years ago I tried to use a dremel but because of the amount of coats that my dogs had the coats twisted around the shaft of the grinder stone and pulled out of my hand and gave my dog a very bad brush burn twice - I like Pedi paws because it has the guard on it.
My dog that hates it when I try to clip her nails (she has black nails and I often clip into the quick) will lay on her side and let my use the Pedi Paws - I do wish it had more powder as it takes a long time to make any progress on nails that are as large as my dogs - I think that on a small dog it would work much better

The Bedlington Terrier looks more like a lamb than a dog, but do not let her appearance fool you. She is not a pushover. She can be very aggressive with other animals and stubborn. She may do well with other dogs as long as they do not try to dominate her. She may get along with cats if you socialize her for cats early. She will also get along with older children well. As a reminder, never leave any young child unsupervised with a puppy or dog for any length of time. She can be raised in an apartment as long as she is walked frequently and her high intelligence is also exercised. She is a good watch dog and likes to bark. Generally she gets along well with strangers.

*Approximate Adult Size. The ideal approximate adult size (two years old or older) of the male Bedlington Terrier is 16 and one half inches to the withers (highest point of the shoulder) and the ideal female adult height at the withers is 15 and one half inches. The weight should run between 17 and 23 pounds.
*Special Health Considerations. All dog breeds have certain inherited health problems associated with that specific breed. With the Bedlington Terrier be aware of Copper Toxicosis, Detached Retina, Distichiasis, Canine Micropthalmia, Cataracts, Lacrimal Duct Atresia, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Retinal Dysplasia, Renal Cortical Hypoplasia, Thyroid Problems and Kidney Disease.
*Grooming. Bedlington Terriers need weekly combing even though they barely shed and are considered non-allergenic for owners.
