whats wrong with my sansa sandisk mp3 player?

its mostly the cord thats the problem, i bought a usb cord ( a retractable one) , and when i plug it into the usb port it say " there has been a surge in the cord" i have no idea what that means. after that message pops up it lets me choose wheather i want to close the message or reset the port when i reset the port nothing happens, but the same message pops up. please help if you can.

A surge means a 'sudden forceful flow', so I'd try a new cord. Good luck!

Kayaking dry top?

I just bought my first dry top for kayaking, and I have some issues with it...
1. Does anyone have advice for putting it on and taking it off? I'm sure it'll get easier once I'm used to it but...
2. Do you get used to the feeling that the neoprene neck is choking you? lol
The guys at the place where I bought mine know everything about kayaking and told me the top fits perfect but...please help!

It's a trade off. Comfort for safety and warmth. The neck will probably always feel like it is "choking" you, but, unless you start to turn blue, it's ok. It will relax a little with time and use...plus, you will get more used to it. I wear a dry suit rafting in the spring out here in Idaho, and it has undoubtedly saved my life on more than one icy swim!!

Every hunting season is like a gulp of freshly brewed alpine air. The weather has turned. Crops have been brought in. Occasional light snow in the higher elevations. Crate/Kennel or Carrier: Whats the difference?

I am the soon-to-be owner of a Boston Terrier puppy. I'm shopping around for the things I'll need, and I was wondering what the difference was between a crate/kennel and a carrier. Do I need both? Neither?

A crate and carrier are pretty much the same thing. I also use the term kennel for my dogs crates. (They are to big to carry, so I don't call them carriers) Kennel also refers to my large outdoor run as well.

You should definately get a crate, makes things alot easier, especially housetraining.

As more and more people fly, more and more pets fly as well. Just as some people get anxious or nervous flying, pets do too. With all the additional security regulations enforced on airlines these days, we are frequently asked for tips on flying with pets.

If you are having a pet, especially a new puppy or kitten, shipped from a breeder to you, we suggest you have the shipper use a SnugglePuppie or SnuggleKittie in the crate. A SnugglePuppie/SnuggleKittie is a cozy stuffed animal for your pet. It comes with a heart beat and heater inside and helps to ease crying, loneliness and separation anxiety. Some freight companies do not like having anything, even a towel, in the crate so you may want to find other shippers who allow our products to ease the anxiety of unaccompanied travel.

Other Important Tips:

1. Have extra copies of vaccination records with you - maybe put one copy in one bag and one in your pet's carrier.

2. Make sure your pet is comfortable in their crate or carry bag - they must be able to get up and turn around. I put a pee pad, "just-in-case", on the bottom of my carrier then my pet's favorite towel (with my smell on it) on top. And even with a SnuggleKittie in the bag, there is more than enough room.

3. Check your pet's collar before travelling. Be sure your information, including temporary accommodation, is clearly written. If your pet escapes, then you can be contacted.

4. Water is important before the flight. You may want to keep food to a minimum up to 6 hours before travel.

5. Regarding escapes, you must take your pet out of the carrier while you both go through security. This can be one of the most stressful of moments because your pet is "out-of-the-bag" and very capable of running from you. Consider that any pet jewelry may make the detector go off. Plan ahead and put your pet in a nylon collar with plastic ID tags. Be sure to ask that your pet carrier go through the X-ray before you so you can quickly put your pet back in its carrier.

Lastly, consult your veterinarian with any questions or concerns or even vaccination requirements for travel. Giving a tranquilizer before travelling is not recommended for pets, that's why a SnugglePuppie or SnuggleKittie is a safer, better, natural alternative. Happy Tails and Bon Voyage!

How long is bagged cat food fresh until?

I am just wondering how long after I open my cats food will it go stale or bad? My cat seems to eat the fresh food faster and more readily than after the bag has been opened a week or 2. It does have a ziploc type seal so the air stays out, but will it still go rancid? She eats the Whiskas brand.

If you look very closely there is an experation date on cat food these days, this will tell you how long it is safe to feed the food.

I have also experienced an animal not wanting to eat from a bag that was opened a month ago. so i switched and bought smaller quanities at a time and now put the food into an air tights plastic container for storage.

Also... cats are very picky eaters so it IS hard, BUT dont spoil it to much or it will get bored of everything.

How do you hold onto someone you love with all your heart?

DR. LISA LOVE REFLECTIONS

As a counselor I have often told people that they need to learn to love themselves. Yet, while saying this to others, I have at times taken pause to reflect and ask myself, “What does that really mean? How do we know the difference between a self-love and a selfish love? And, what can we do practically to love ourselves in the right way?” Perhaps the quote above holds a clue, because I believe true self love fills us with enough joy, peace, and love that our desire to be loving human beings grows. Because of this we want to express more empathy, compassion, and understanding towards others. Selfish love does the contrary. It increases our sense of self-loathing or our disdain and anger towards others. It causes us to act increasingly in our own best interests without considering the interests of others. It causes us to want to sacrifice others needs and desires in service to our own, instead of the other way around. Or, it causes us to self-destruct through a number of behaviors that may feel good temporarily, but ultimately they lead to the shutting down of our hearts and spiral us downward into increased self-loathing and self-reproach.

How then do we love ourselves in the right way? By first and foremost learning what love is. Then, by insisting that we feed ourselves with that love. This is best done by finding people who know how to love. From them we learn how to adopt loving mindsets, feelings, and behaviors. And, it is done by setting boundaries on people who don’t know how to encourage the greatest level of love in us. Because when we truly have that kind of love in our lives we are increasingly a blessing to others. Which is why real love requires that we love ourselves in the right way, so we can have the strength to love, the wisdom to love, and the energy to love those who need our love the most.
