Would you feel safer or more threatened if you saw the guy at the next table in McDonald's had a gun on him?
Some ask about Gun Control and think if citizens are armed, things would be safer.
So would you feel safer or more threatened if you saw the guy at the next table in McDonald's had a gun on him?
Im a cop...Id would feel safer knowing there is another gun on the premises
The World's Wrist Wrestling Championships, Inc...a huge success, was started in 1952 by founder Bill Soberane, who got together with Dave Devoto to bring the sport to light when they formed this corporation. This article is going to cover ways that a guy or girl can use certain techniques that coupled with strength and endurance training, can make them competitive in an organized competition, or just the typical family, kitchen table match. Although strength is very important for winning an arm wrestling match, that can be the subject of another article. This article is only going to cover the finer points of technique.
The Hook- This is the number one move in arm wrestling. Those arm wrestlers with larger hands have an advantage when applying this move, because they have greater leverage over their opponent. as control over the opponents hand position through strength and leverage can make you the pinner instead of the pinnee. Hand grippers used often can be a good stress reliever while strengthening the hands to be the overcomer when utilizing this move. Remember, your opponent, if aware of basic technique, will be trying to hook you. Once you have managed to curl your wrist in as much as possible, you need to immediately throw your weight, your whole upper body over your arm while keeping it tucked in close, and pushing down as hard as you can with both you body and arm. This should get you the pin.
The Rollover- This move can get you the pin when you are wrestling your less experienced, although even stronger friends. This is a move that is all about leverage. The whole trick is to try to walk you grip toward your opponents fingers. As you get out there, his hand will even open up slightly. This gives you a major leverage advantage. Tighten your grip again immediately, and like with the hook move get you upper body into it while keeping you arm close and go for the pin. If you are the weaker opponent, be sure to get on this move as quickly as possible. As his hand opens up so will his arm as it comes away from his body. He has all but lost once he is in this extremely disadvantaged leveraged position.
The Press- This is an ideal move when you know that you have the stronger upper body. Do you know how much your opponent benches? If it is much less than you, then this is the move to go for especially if your hand wrist and fore arm strength is equal or slightly inferior to your opponents. Be careful though, because if your opponent pulls the rollover move on you before you can apply the press you're screwed! So, remember, prevent the rollover while you quickly bust out with the press. The main goal when performing this move is to get your opponents palm to face up. Remember how we said that it very important to control their hand position. Normally when pulling this move the opponent will "break" his wrist...not literally, but meaning that he will let it be bent back with the palm facing up, and this will make it more difficult to apply the "press" that will win the pin. Make sure that you keep you arm in close, and utilize your upper body strength. Call on your pecks, shoulders and triceps to press down the arm while utilizing the bicep to keep you arm in close while opening his arm position giving him a leverage disadvantage.
These three moves when practiced and perfected, coupled with strength training, will win you many a match...even with a strength or hand size disadvantage.
