what if I cancel registration and tags before going out of USA? Once I come again.. i will do registration . Is it a good option ?
Many states,NC where I live included, require you to keep insurance as long as the registration is current. If you cancel your ins. policy the ins. co. notifies the state and they require you to turn in the tags. I guess it helps keep uninsured drivers off the road.

Is it actually possible to travel all the way across the USA without using any big name companies at all? Not even gas stations? Motels? Are you serious? Surely Dave Gorman was a lunatic for trying this, wasn't he?
Why Did Dave Decide To Do This?
Dave had recently spent months doing a stand-up comedy tour of the United States. This involved staying in an almost endless number of chain hotels and motels. During this, Dave began to feel that he wasn't getting to see the America that he knew and loved. So he decided to see if he could in fact drive all the way from the west coast to the east coast using only "Mom & Pop" businesses.
What Happens To Dave?
Well, I don't want to spoil it for you by revealing here everything that happened to Dave. I think you should read the book to find out.
Originally this was only intended to be a personal journey, but he ended up bringing a cameraman along, who filmed everything that happened. All the ups and downs. All the car breakdowns, the funny moments, and the nice people they met. You also get all the in-between bits along the way, such as the conversations he had with his cameraman, and little oddities they saw along the way.
Writing Style
I've always found Dave Gorman's writing style to be very natural yet entertaining. Also, because the events described actually happened, it adds an extra punch to the story. It's almost like he's there with you, just chatting away about the trip.
Would I Recommend This Book?
I would definitely recommend this book, whether you are American, British, or of any other nationality. It is a fun, heart-warming, life-affirming journey. And you learn just as much about Dave as you do about America.
