Anyone else have a cat that scratched only their neck?

I have already taken my cat to the vet and she's pretty healthy, but the doctor believes the collar she has might be whats causing her to scratch so much even though i have it very loose. its those break away ones you buy at petco, the doctor recommended i take it off but i have her tag and bell on it in case she gets lost. so i'm thinking that if i buy a leather one it might stop her scratching, also she has no flees so anyones feedback on a similar situation?

my cat only scratches her neck because of her collar, but it isn't a problem scratch, it's only once in a while. anyways, wat i would recommend, especially if the leather one doesn't work, is getting her a tattoo in her ear or a microchip under her skin, so that if she does get lost without a collar, they can take her to the pound or to the vet and have the tattoo and/or microchip checked and it will match her back to you.
