dogs pulling when i walk them?
i have 2 dogs (9 months and the other is a year and 3 months)and i use a coupler to walk them. When i take them out they get excited and pull me. I want to train them without any help from another product.... just plain old obedience.
I didn't really mind them pulling me but for the past couple days i've dedicated my walks on training them not to pull anymore. I need some comments from people who have used my training method and has been successful.
method: When they start pulling i stop and wait for them to stop pulling. Once they relax i will praise them and say "walk slow" in a happy tone and continue walking. praise with treats if they dont pull
Is it best to ask them to sit before i continue walking?
They are doing really good so far, but sometimes they still pull. How much of a pull did you wait for before you corrected them? (extreme dragging only or even at the slightest pull)
how long did it take before your dogs trotted by your side?

i would suggest using two leashes and NOT a coupler,,
coupling with surprise
