My Cat Is Carrying The Kittens(17 days) Around The House?
My cat gave birth 17 days ago to 3 kittens and today(18/06/07) she kept carrying one or the other around the house, once hiding under my bed...she has also constantly been meowing..she doesnt stay with the kittens for long, she just leaves them after we leave her with the kittens. Can anyone help me out?
It's extremely normal for the mother to carry the kittens around. My cat carried her kittens around well after they could walk. It got to the point where they were too big for her to pick up, so she would drag them across the floor and kittens would let her do it. I made a bed for her in the closet (kept the door open, so she could come and go as she pleased) that was private and she felt was safe, and she usually kept them there. And she's probably just meowing to talk to her kittens or just so they can hear her.
